If you really don’t like paying taxes, why not move to a country where they don’t have them? I think that in most of those countries, there is a serious lack of services and many of them don’t seem to have any government to speak of — think Somalia. If that doesn’t appeal, maybe you can find an island to buy and create your own tax free nation.
In that country, you won’t have any taxes, but you also won’t have any clean water. You won’t have subsidized education — primary, secondary or tertiary — for your kids. Hope you like the idea of homeschooling. You’ll have to create your own electricity infrastructure and build your own roads. I don’t know what you’ll do it with since there won’t be any taxes. I guess if you each build private stretches of road you can charge each other tolls for the privilege of using them.
I hope you all have guns, because there won’t be any police or any army when you need it. There won’t be prisons either, and if someone gets hurt, there will be no ambulances or hospitals. If you have any free time, don’t expect to spend it in parks or libraries. There won’t be any. I don’t know how you plan on taking care of your elderly. Maybe your tax free country will be up north and there will be some ice floe you can put them on when they get too expensive to care for.
You all whine about taxes, but we’re paying less now than we have historically — especially those on the upper end of the income spectrum. You get what you pay for, folks, and if you want to pay nothing, then that’s exactly what you’re going to get.
