I’ve blogged 30 straight days. It’s harder than I ever remember. You know how people say that if a woman remembered the pain of labor and childbirth the race would die out? The Blogathon is like that. I forget every year how hard it is to write every single day. We have a tradition in the Blogathon world of doing a word cloud once during the month. This year, it is today, the last day of the Blogathon. In the past, I knew only of one place to do one, Wordle.net.
I created this word cloud there.
Now, I know of others. This one was created at WordItOut.com.
This one was created at tagxedo.com.
I could make these all day. The font, color, and style choices are infinite. You can make mugs and t-shirts. I’m happy just seeing what words appear in my blog more than others. Son. Dating. People. One I did had a huge rendition of Lopate, as in Phillip Lopate, my latest essayist crush.
I wonder if next year I’ll remember how hard this is. I hope I’m in better blogging shape then, having kept up with my writing on a regular basis. Maybe not daily. But certainly without any four month gaps.
Tomorrow though? I’m taking Monday off. And a big congratulations to my fellow bloggers who completed all 30 days.
Well done!
