Today is Haiku Tuesday for the 2011 WordCount Blogathon. Below are some musings on “fair” in 17 syllables.
Who says life is fair?
Fair is a place with fried food
Not something you’re owed
If you want balance
Find a supermarket scale
Load it with apples
Justice may be served
But maybe you can’t see it
Until you are dead
And on a completely different topic
Haiku was the first
Twitter? Johnny-come-lately
An easier task
I couldn’t agree more . . . fair is definitely a place with fried foods (and no calories or weight gain!!). Love this post. Thanks for sharing.
I love your first haiku. I sometimes find myself getting preoccupied with fairness before realizing that life really isn’t fair — having that summed up in 17 syllables is a great reminder!
