I used to have a calendar that on the June 30 square said, “Half the year is gone. Have you reached half your goals?” Kind of passive aggressive for paper office supplies, right?
As I mentioned a couple posts ago, my life has been a bit out of my control lately, and I haven’t been able to do all the things I want to do in as timely a fashion as I’d like. This is a perennial issue for me, particularly in late spring. From Mother’s Day to Independence Day is a busy time for the Jaffe/Hubbell/Jaffe-Hubbell clan. There are holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, end of school celebrations, graduations, and a never-ending procession of opportunities to eat cake. I don’t mind the cake, but there’s not a lot of room to breathe, let alone blog regularly.
Still, for the last couple years, I’ve pulled out the stops every May and participated in the Wordcount Blogathon. This year, the blogathon was moved to June, my third go-round. It will be harder to blog every single day in June than if it remained a May event, but I’m up for the challenge. I think. I’ll be sharing blogs I like — there are 213 participating this year — and try to get back on in the habit of sharing my very important opinions with the world.
I don’t know that I’d ever be productive to achieve half of my annual goals in half a year. I tend to be overly ambitious in my goal setting. But at the end of this month, I hope to be able to say I made it through the blogathon. On your mark, get set…write!
Can you imagine an entire month blogging about garbage? I am not entirely sure my audience would appreciate that… Then again, what audience? ;-). Onepieceaday-Seattle.blogspot.com
I say go for it. It’s too late to officially sign up, but what the heck. Blog every day this month about garbage!
P.s. Go you!
