You are on call all the time. So it&#8217;s probably not okay to head off on a hike of the Appalachian Trail so you can get away from your four kids (and miss Father&#8217;s Day) and do some writing and NOT TELL ANYONE, including your wife, the lieutenant governor, your chief of staff or your boss &#8212; that is, the people who put you in office.<\/p>\n<p>This is particularly true if you have aspirations to higher office, say the presidency, in the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>Seriously, what were you thinking, Gov.
