A few days ago, I mentioned a few of the gems I’d found. I’m more than halfway through the alphabet and have another batch I’ll keep visiting or subscribe to after this month is a fading memory.

First is Life and Times of a Preacher Mom. It may seem strange that a nice Jewish girl like me is finding joy in the writing of an actual preacher. But her blog isn’t overtly religious — it’s more about getting through the day, the same as any other single mom. She writes well and thoughtfully.

I’ve been a member of Freelance Success for several years and yet somehow, I didn’t know about the associated blog written by Jennie Phipps, who can’t possibly be a single person, she does so much. She must be a room full of clones. I’ll be subscribing to the feed.

Pretty pictures and great recipes. What more does one need? Check out My Morning Chocolate.

Some of the prettiest pictures I’ve seen, and great writing about life in Japan are in Popcorn Homestead. I love the emphasis on things that grow.

All word geeks need to subscribe to About English Idioms. That’s all. Just do it.

I don’t know that I’ll read it daily, but when I want a dose of local nature, I can’t do better than On Mount Hood.

Parenting blogs are a dime a dozen. Good ones, not as common. Natural as Possible Mom is one of the good ones. Good writing, insightful, and thoughtful.

I’ve been a subscriber to Attainable Sustainable from the start. If you are trying to green your life, even just a little, this blog is full of simple ways you can do just that.

I’ll keep reading these and have another list of blogs I’ve discovered this month. Meanwhile, good reading!

There are maybe 150 bloggers writing daily in the merry month of May as part of the third annual WordCount Blogathon.
